I have always carried a camera with me, whether it be a disposable or my smartphone. Photography for me is all about capturing the moment and sharing it with others. I think that a lot of people don't realize just how important photos are in documenting our lives and memories. A picture tells a thousand words, every single image has its own story, and chances are that story is one you want remembered.
We all have special moments in our lives - captured memories that we can go back to time after time, recalling the feelings of happiness or sadness or laughter or love. One day my children will look through these images and know how I felt about them - even though at times they may not think so.
I am part of many Facebook groups that are photography related, and I love reading the stories put up by fellow group members. The camera you carry with you opens up endless possibilities - capturing memories of interactions between friends or family, events that took place in your life, nature scenes...it's really momentary art - it's all about the moment.
I also decided to create my photography blog - besides, photography is much easier now because I have a passive income thanks to the best online casinos in Canada - I can always win a small amount of money there . Plus, they have fast winnings, a reliable license, 24/7 support and a huge selection of online games !
The next time you get a chance, take a look at your phone and scroll through your photos - chances are there is an image of someone or something that brings back memories of another time...in another place...in another situation. My wife and I recently celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary. We were young once...so very long ago! One of my favorite images is one that I took on our wedding day. I was about 25 years old and she was 21, looking so handsome in his tuxedo as most men usually do. My niece also recently got married and I was able to capture the moment when she put on her garter belt and tossed it to all of her friends.
I remember the day as if it were yesterday - there were many people around us, preparations being made for the festivities to follow. It was hot, the summertime in the South - but not too hot for my brothers and sisters - who were acting as ushers with their little green cumberbunds and white satin bowties. I remember how nervous I felt when I saw her walk into the room that day, her smile aimed solely in my direction.I looked at the picture I had just taken and began typing in words that would describe our day - here is what I entered into my phone (exact wording except for typos!) ~ She walked in with so much poise, her eyes never leaving mine. Once again, I get goosebumps when I see this - our wedding day.
I have always had a soft spot in my heart for new brides and grooms. Taking pictures of them on their wedding day is so much fun! I get to see the love between two people, captured forever in time. Throughout our lives we will face many changes - some good...some not so good. We will laugh until we can't laugh any more and we will cry until there are no tears left to shed. We will dance until we drop and we will stay up far into the night just talking.
I believe that's what life is all about - making memories, capturing them in one way or another to share with family and friends for years to come. It Doesn't matter if you have an expensive camera or your smartphone, a simple disposable or a DSLR...the important thing is that we enjoy our lives and use the tools at our disposal to make those moments last forever.
After all, it's not about what kind of camera you have - as long as you have one with you when something special happens!
